Mr Crowe is such an inspirational and passionate math teacher. I have learnt so much from him and received so much encouragement that I have managed to go from a student who averaged B and C grades to continuously achieving A*. He is the reason why math is one of my favorite subjects today. His teaching skills, patience, hard work and dedication to teaching his students has been something that always kept me going, along with his thorough understanding of every concept. I have seen him replying to emails past teacher working hours or even taking time out of his break-times , trying to help students understand math concepts to me that is just so kind of him. He is also a very humorous teacher, who makes lessons engaging through fun activities. I am so grateful to have had him as my math teacher and being his student has been such a transformative journey.

Mr Crowe taught my daughter IB Maths Analysis and Approaches (Standard Level) in Year 12. She describes him as ‘a really kind, encouraging, and enthusiastic person and teacher, with a great sense of humour which makes his lessons very enjoyable’. Another trait that stands out for her is Mr Crowe’s great patience. He always explained difficult questions slowly and clearly, went out of his way to compile useful revision resources for all his students, and consistently gave detailed and constructive feedback on her Internal Assessment drafts. I was fortunate to be in Mr Crowe’s class from year 8 all the way to year 11 (four years). He is without a doubt, the best maths teacher that I have ever had. Before, I never really enjoyed maths as a subject,  partly because I did poorly in it, but after I was in Mr Crowe’s class, my grades started to improve (from Bs in Maths in Year 7 to gaining an A* grade in IGCSE extended Mathematics). More importantly, I also started to enjoy maths as a subject. His classes are very engaging, and he is very approachable and incredibly patient. I am never afraid to ask any questions and he is also able to explain the different maths concepts in a way that I am able to understand and remember.

During covid-19, despite all my classes being online and quite dull, I still enjoyed maths classes. For these reasons, I have full faith in his ability as a tutor.

I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Crowe as my teacher in middle school, and he has been one of the most considerate, fun, and encouraging teachers I have met. Having Mr Crowe as my maths teacher will perhaps be the greatest fortune of my high school years. Although only having the privilege of being under his teachings for 2 years, he altered my perception of school life. Never had I known a teacher could be so genuinely passionate of what they taught, and extend the same sincerity to their students too. From extra hours of help during any break to the patience of breaking down questions according to each student's needs, I found myself more passionate and confident in math than ever before. His truly amazing work ethic still inspires me today, and I sincerely hope others will get to experience the same experience as we all did from Mr Crowe.
